We understand that by operating our business in an environmentally friendly manner improves the sustainability of our business. Therefore, protecting the environment in which we operate is integral to our way of business.

In line with local, national requirements and international best practise standards, Environmental Impact Assessments are performed before any operations can take place. The outcome leads to the development of a legally binding commitments based on and enshrined in an environmental and social management plan (ESMP). This is a living document that develops over the life of the project and is often independently monitored. In this way, it is our technical environmental and social assessment of a project and a key element of corporate social responsibility and, ultimately, of Zambezi’s licence to operate.
