Who We Are
The company is successful at collaborating and partnering with industrial institutions whose strength compliments the company’s weaknesses. These qualities allow Zambezi Exploration to utilise the latest seismic and processing techniques to optimise data quality and enhance the likelihood of successfully identifying prospective blocks. We target to explore areas other companies think are too risky compared with the potential reward such as offshore Namibia.
The company’s primary target Oil and Gas Assets are in the deep water of the Orange Basin in Namibia. These Assets are adjacent to acreages held by Total S.A and its partners. Namibia’s Orange Basin has attracted other Oil majors such as ExxonMobil, Shell, GALP (Portugal).
The offshore waters of Namibia have witnessed a significant increase in exploration activity in recent years. The drives are twofold: firstly, following the discovery of a number of world class oil fields in the offshore Santos Basin in Brazil. That is, the area of Brazil was joined to Angola and Namibia before the opening of the South Atlantic Ocean. Secondly, the recent exploration results in offshore Namibia have confirmed the existence of source rock and world class reservoirs.
